All these instances can lead us to grieve. Nevertheless, the most concentrated grief that we experience is when someone we love – such as a partner, a child, or a parent- passes away. Nothing can fill the emptiness that suddenly springs up in our life when our loved ones die.

Our whole lives, we may have made the persons who passed away the center of our existence. And life loses its former grandeur because of their demise. We experience the pain of having someone we cherish taken away from us. Nonetheless, it is in mourning that we cultivate the way to our own mending of the pain that we felt with our beloved\’s death.

There is no right or wrong way to express grief. When grieving, we must choose the healthy ways of airing out the pain that we feel.

It is common presumption that grief must be expressed by crying our hearts out each time we remember our loved ones who passed away. Still, tears do not constantly mean grief. One can look stoic on the outside yet is breaking up from the pain of loss within.

Also, grieving, contrary to what is usually said, does not encompass a set time period. The span of the grieving process will be different for an individual compared with another. No one can hasten and instantly \”get over\” the grieving process. Time heals all pains and anguish.
