And if particular data are going to be used in court, they are required to protect the data such that it is not tampered or compromise along the way. Private investigators have to cover confidential information such as social security numbers and license numbers with utmost care to protect such data from falling into the wrong hands.

But among countries or states, one thing is common, private investigators can only use firearms if they are licenced with a concealed weapons license and of course they have firearms permit.

Private investigators working for attorneys or private individuals are allowed to testify in court. They can exhibit what they have seen or discovered provided they have sufficient evidence that will back up whatever they say.
The last and most important thing is, the private investigators must be licensed before carrying any work.
