Most women put on weight during motherhood despite all the running around constantly. Having young children could mean less time for sleep, so physical exercises doesn’t sound too appealing. Because you’re already exhausted, you don’t really want to waste any more energy exercising.

Mothers even end up being a human dustbin which is another reason for putting on weight. They usually snack with their kids or eat their leftovers. All the leftovers you eat, even little sandwiches or cookies, can build up and cause you to gain weight.

You can also consider isolation as a fitness killer. You won’t get motivated eating healthy or exercising if your world revolves around young children. However, you also need to think about yourself. If you want to regain your confidence and lose weight, try to follow these helpful tips.

Always remember that you’re not a dustbin. Instead of eating your children’s leftovers, put them in the bin.

You can use the time that you spend with your kids to stay fit and do some exercises. You can start by pushing the baby stroller at a brisk pace. Another great idea is chasing your children around the park. When your children go to their swimming or dance lessons, you can join them in the water or help coach their class.

When you spend time with your children, don’t allow your confidence and health to deteriorate. Try to set up arrangements with a neighbor or your partner to look after the kids while you do some exercises.

Don’t let motherhood overwhelm you or isolate you that you end up neglecting yourself. Exercising won’t leave you exhausted and it will actually increase your energy levels leaving you full of life.
