* Rubbing Alcohol is highly effective for removing permanent marker from many different types of materials.

* Trace over the permanent marker with a washable marker and then wipe it off. This works on some vinyl products but not all. It is always worth a try as it will not do any more damage.

* Spray WD-40 onto the stain and let it sit for one to two minutes before wiping with a clean cloth to remove the marker.

*Permanent marker stains can sometimes be removed with nail polish remover. But please be very cautious when attempting using nail polish remover because the nail polish also removes the natural finish on most surfaces. If you want to try this, wet a towel with the nail polish remover and scrub the permanent marker stain. It will take a lot rubbing to remove the stain from plastic. When finished, wipe the plastic or vinyl with a wet towel, then dry.
